BreakDoor Two Demons, Then More

Spawn hunters evolve on a clock; converted hunters arrive when rooms fail.

Hunter Roles

A BreakDoor Hunter is either one of the two spawn Demons or a converted Human who joined the hunt after a numbered room failed. Those are not the same job, even though both want the door down. This page splits the identities, then tells you how the twenty-minute clock does half your work. The players hub is the index. How to play Hunter is the movement version. Survivor roles is the thing you are breaking.

GhostTribe’s mode is online 8v2, released 24 February 2026. Hunters are not LSPLASH hotel entities. You are a Demon with an evolution clock, or you are a former Human with leftover map knowledge and something to prove.

Original Hunters — the two who loaded in

Original Hunters start the match. They evolve over time. They do not need a conversion to become a problem. Early, they are probes: find the wood door, tap the Human who is decorating a cash machine, leave before a turret learns their name. Late, they are the final-form nightmare the Horn of Counterattack is named against.

Early-round value for this role is information. Late-round value is physics. If you spend the opening minutes respectfully testing Eternal Divine Gates that do not exist yet, you have donated tempo to the eight. Invert the doors tier list: F-tier neglect first, B-tier wood and stone next, A-tier iron when you have a converted friend, S-tier Gates only when the rest of the lobby is already bleeding.

First Blood requires eliminating a real Human as a Hunter. Converted-on-converted farm does not count. The badge is teaching target priority: the eight are the point.

Converted Hunters — the role you cannot shop

Converted Hunter is a role, not a shop class. It does not sit next to Life Wizard at 25,000 Gems or Magnetic Storm Warrior at 30,000. You arrive because a Survivor failed the room. You keep map knowledge. You may not keep Human kits. You add a body to the hunt so 8v2 becomes 7v3, then worse.

Play converted like a crowbar, not like a second final-form Demon. Your job is extra hands on a door the originals already chose, or a second door so the remaining Humans cannot Twin Portal into a stack. If you treat conversion as a free Mechanist, you will wander, the originals will evolve without you, and Lethal Poison will still be aimed at them. The class ranking mentions this role only to kick it off the gem table. Belong here instead.

Lethal Poison is their problem with your name on it

Lethal Poison converts original Hunters. Survivors research it as an identity weapon against the two spawn Demons. If you are original, Poison is the Human plan to take you off the evolution script. If you are converted, Poison is not your origin story and not your cleanse.

Hunter play around Poison is tempo. Finish rooms before the research comes online. Do not pose on an iron door while the eight print the one tool that converts the originals. The weapons guide is a Survivor page; you still need to know it exists because the Horn is how they answer your final form if Poison did not.

Evolution versus the Human ladder

Humans climb doors, turrets, and six legendaries. You climb a clock. That asymmetry is the mode. A Hunter who mirrors Human spend — waiting for a personal “S-tier weapon” — has misunderstood the job. Your S-tier is a breached F-tier room at minute four and a converted ally at minute eight. Their S-tier is Gates plus Horn at minute eighteen. Make sure they never meet that minute.

Turrets, documented for the other side on the turret guide, are why you do not stand in a doorway to think. Peek, break, leave, return after the turret has wasted shots on empty air. Economy, on the economy guide, is why you interrupt cash machines when a door is not yet free. A Human who cannot print cannot reach iron.

NewHunter and Mechanist event weeks on events can add hunter-facing toys or Human-facing Iron Awakening. Read updates before you assume last month’s probe still works. Iron Awakening is a Mechanist sentence on the Human kit list; do not confuse it with your evolution.

How to think with two, then more

With two originals, split information, not damage, in the opening minutes. One Demon checking every numbered door while the other tunnels a single S-tier fantasy is how eight printers get a head start. Once a conversion lands, stack the next weakest frame. Converted Hunters should arrive to a chosen door, not to a group huddle in a corridor.

If you are learning the buttons, use controls. If you have never sat in a numbered room, use getting started and how to play Survivor so you know which sounds mean a Human is about to convert. Codes on codes will not make you a Demon; they buy Human gem kits you will later be hunting.

Scripts and GUI pages under scripts are not a third Hunter. Official links live on the wiki links hub. The tier list hub remains a Human snapshot you invert.

Hunter identity in this mode splits on spawn. Originals own the evolution clock and the Poison risk. Converted players own the snowball and the First Blood rule that their own takedown did not count as a real Human. Together you are the reason the game is named BreakDoor. Apart you are two styles arguing while eight machines print. Pick a frame. Break it. Let the clock do the rest of the bragging.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What is the difference between original and converted Hunters?

Original Hunters are the two spawn Demons who evolve with time. Converted Hunters are former Humans who changed sides after a room failed. Lethal Poison converts originals; dying as a Human creates converted Hunters.

How does Hunter evolution work?

Spawn Demons grow stronger as the match clock moves, toward a final form the Horn of Counterattack is written to answer. They do not need kills to start evolving, which is why stalling as a Human still feeds them.

What does the First Blood badge require?

Eliminate a real Human as a Hunter. Converted Hunter takedowns and non-Human eliminations do not count. The badge is teaching you to hunt the eight, not to farm your own side.

Which doors should Hunters break first?

Invert the door tier list. Hit neglected F-tier rooms and early wood or stone B-tier rooms before you commit to iron or Eternal Divine Gates.

Is converted Hunter something I can buy with Gems?

No. Life Wizard, Magnetic Storm Warrior, and Mechanist are Human shop classes. Conversion is a mid-match role change, documented here rather than on the class gem list.
